Mongol-Tatar Belt Set from Ulus Juchi (Western part of Mongolian Empire). 13 c. Belt in Mongol-Tatar culture was a sign of a warrior's rank as well as of his bravery and luck. Only the bravest and the most gallant warriors of the Emperor's guard might have afforded rich belts with dragons. The style of the set was evidently influenced by the Chinese art, the buckle plate being an exclusion as it features different style decoration (Russian) and was possibly added later to substitute the lost original one. The set was found at Krasny Yar settlement, Astrakhan region, Russia. The price includes default number of pieces: the buckle, the strapend, loop, 2 sabre hanging pieces and 24 crescent pieces. You may order any number of elements you need for corresponding price. For 30 mm strap.
