This dress with all it braids, pearls, beads and laces was designed according to the 1490s Italian fashion, but the main inspiration were Lucretia's costumes in The Borgias (2011 TV series) by Gabriella Pescucci. Multiple-part sleeves evidence that this lady won't dress herself - she's too rich to fasten up more than 20 ties on each sleeve. They are laced according to the period fashion. You can wear the dress without sleeves as well. A 'pregnant' silhouette was quite a fashionable thing too, as it meant family prosperity and the fact that the dress owner's husband is not on war or ill, but is in a wait of a heir. The dress closes on the both sides with lacing, so it can fit different sizes. High waistline and separate sleeves make this costume to fit well on any figure. Dress closes on both sides with lacing, so it will fit different sizes. This costume will be perfect for a period photosession, ball or wedding. A costume copy of different materials, colors and sizes is available, as well as a new custom costume made after your sketch. Please mention, that chemise and other undergarments should be ordered separately. Materials used: decorative fabric, cotton underlining, braid, plastic bones, glass beads, glass pearls.
